Start with their experience
A first-time player usually needs patient teaching and many touches. A player who understands the basics may be ready for coached games, while a committed player may want a REP evaluation.
Check the weekly reality
A great promise is not useful if the schedule, drive or price cannot work consistently. Compare the actual day, time, location, class size and season commitment.
Look closely at the coaches
Parents should expect organized sessions, useful feedback, safe conduct and coaches who can connect with children—not only strong playing résumés.
Use the first class as evidence
Notice whether your child participates, understands the instructions and asks to return. That tells you more than a brochure ever will.
